What happens in Parshas V'Zos Habracha

Before he passes away, Moshe Rabbeinu blesses each shevet with its own special brachah. He begins with the pasuk "Torah tzivah lanu Moshe, morashah kehillas Yaakov," one of the first pesukim a child learns. Rashi tells us that Zevulun worked as a merchant and supported Yissachar so they could learn Torah, and that Moshe mentioned Zevulun first because of this partnership.

Hashem shows Moshe the whole land from the top of Har Nevo, and Moshe passes away there. Hashem Himself buried him, and no one knows his burial place. Moshe was one hundred and twenty, and his eyes were still clear and his strength was not gone. Yehoshua, full of wisdom, leads the people, and the Torah says no navi ever arose in Yisrael like Moshe. We read this parsha on Simchas Torah, and the moment we finish we begin again from Bereishis, calling out Chazak, chazak, venischazek.
